Approximately 45 minutes into our voyage, we will reach the glacier, divided by a central island where, weather permitting, we will disembark. After this, we’ll return to the catamaran for a 3-hour round trip, disembarking at our original departure point.

Our thrilling journey kicks off as we check in at the lobby of the Lago Grey Hotel one hour prior to departure. Please note that schedules and frequencies vary according to the season.

After checking in, we will embark on a picturesque 3 km or approximately 40-minute walk along Grey Beach from the hotel to the Grey III Catamaran, where our captivating tour commences. Setting off from the Grey sector of Torres del Paine National Park, we will head towards the edge of the Southern Ice Field, home to the breathtaking Grey Glacier.

Onboard the Grey vessel, we will explore the glacier. This magnificent glacier boasts an ice wall approximately 40 meters high with mesmerizing blue hues that create a breathtaking natural spectacle. Witness the numerous floating icebergs and their diverse formations, perfect for viewing or capturing in photographs.

Following about 45 minutes of sailing, we will approach the glacier, which is split by a central island, where we may disembark if weather and wind conditions allow.

This opportunity allows us to fully appreciate the myriad crevasses and uplifts that form the snowdrift. Occasionally, large ice collapses may occur, hindering the navigation of the Grey III, presenting the chance to sail in a Zodiac for an alternative adventure experience.

The excursion to the Grey Glacier, navigating the waters of the lake bearing the same name, lasts approximately 3 hours and includes a complimentary appetizer per person (pisco sour, soft drink, or juice).
