Full Day Tour In Iruya Valley

Our tour starts at 9 am, from the starting point in Tilcara. From there, we will take you on an exciting journey to the Iruya Valley, ascending to altitudes of up to 4000 meters above sea level. During the tour, our expert guides will provide you with detailed information about the history, culture and flora and fauna of the region.

As we advance, we will cross the Valles de Altura, where the ancient settlers left their mark in the form of cultivation terraces. These millenary constructions, located in the foothills of the mountains, allowed the self-sufficiency of food thanks to the water from springs that spring from the top of the hills. We will admire these traditions that still survive today, dazzling us with their history.

Nestled in the middle of these mythical mountains, we will find the picturesque town of Iruya. Its cobblestone streets, adobe houses and breathtaking scenery will captivate you with its authenticity and beauty. You will have the opportunity to learn about the daily life of its inhabitants and explore the charms that this place has to offer.

After a day full of adventures and discoveries, we will return to Tilcara around 6 pm.
