We will be picked up from the central hotels in the Rock, embarking on a scenic journey along route 43. This 63 km adventure in a 4x4 vehicle will take us to the Villa de Antofagasta in the Sierra.
Our exploration begins with a tour of this quaint town and its picturesque surroundings, leading us to the town of Antofalla. This town is nestled within an indigenous community at the base of the Antofalla Volcano, standing 6400 meters above sea level, and near the stunning Salar de Antofalla.
As we travel from Antofagasta to Antofalla, we will encounter breathtaking landscapes and spectacular panoramic views, including the Laguna Colorada, Quebrada del Diablo, the Colorados de Antofalla, and the Salar de Antofalla, famed as the world's longest salt flat.
Our journey will include a stop at one of the most captivating tourist attractions, the Ojos del Campo. These fascinating geysers, now inactive, are set amidst the awe-inspiring salt flat, where we can admire the lagoon formations with their vibrant color contrasts and diverse fauna.
Later, we will enjoy a lunch break in Antofalla before heading back to the hotels in El Peñón.
