Tour Description
We will pick you up from your hotel in the city of Puno and proceed to the port of Isla Esteves, situated on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Here, you'll receive a brief overview of the tour from our guide-instructor before embarking on this exciting journey on a water bike.
Our pedaling adventure will last for an hour and a half, allowing us to enjoy the sight of stunning birds and breathtaking scenery. Along the way, we'll get a glimpse of Isla Foroba, a rocky island commonly referred to as Devil's Island.
Lake Titicaca is recognized as the world's highest navigable lake, positioned at an altitude of 3,812 meters above sea level. This magnificent site spans across Peru and Bolivia, featuring several significant islands, including Isla Taquile and Isla Amantaní.
We will enjoy a bike ride to the floating islands of the Uros. Here, you will have a guided tour and free time to explore the islands, interact with the local residents, visit their family homes, and learn about their ancestral customs and lifestyle.
The Uros Islands are a collection of islands constructed with totora reeds. The homes are also crafted from this abundant material. The primary language on the island is Aymara, though Spanish is also spoken.
The diverse fauna in this region includes fish such as trout and birds like hawks, herons, and Andean ducks.
At the conclusion of the tour, we will return to the port of Isla Esteves and then transfer you back to your hotel.
