The tour kicks off at 2:00 p.m. on Naciones Unidas Boulevard, from where we proceed to the “Middle of the World City.” Here, you will witness the iconic monument that marks the division between the northern and southern hemispheres of our planet.
At this location, you will enjoy a unique experience that defies the laws of physics. Inside the museum, you'll engage with various exhibits to grasp the phenomenon occurring at 0º latitude.
You'll have the opportunity to learn about the Coriolis effect, as well as the Earth's precession and nutation movements through the Gyroscope. Additionally, discover why people weigh less here and gain insights into centrifugal force.
You'll have free time to capture amazing photos, standing with one foot in the north and the other in the south. Explore the sensory, photomontage, and touch screen rooms, where you can gather information about Ecuador's diverse regions, delving into their culture, gastronomy, and tourism highlights.
After exploring this extraordinary site, you can have your passport stamped with the “From the Center of the Planet” mark and then commence the return journey to our starting point in Quito.
