Our adventure begins with hotel pickups starting at 7 am. We journey along the "Panamericana Sur" route, where we can take in the stunning landscapes, diverse ecosystems, and the grandeur of the Andes. By around 9:00 am, we reach the Cotopaxi National Park.

Upon arrival at the National Park, we will explore the Park's Museum and the picturesque Limpiopungo Lagoon, encircled by small mountains and hills. From this vantage point, one can witness the remnants of ancient volcanic eruptions. The area is a haven for birdwatchers, with numerous avian species, herds of llamas, and mammals like rabbits and deer to be spotted.

We will embark on a fascinating 2-hour hike to the magnificent Chuquiragua forest, situated at 4,200 meters above sea level, weather permitting. Here, we will discover the park’s representative flora, such as chuquiragua, pillow-like plant colonies, mosses, lichens, romelios, the tree of god, and mortiño.

Next, we head to the impressive slopes of the Cotopaxi volcano for a brief walk within the park. Following this, we visit the Quilotoa Volcano, where we can admire its crater and the mesmerizing turquoise lagoon. A short walk around the volcano offers one of the most breathtaking and photographed views in the country.

We will have free time for lunch (not included), with the option to dine inside the park, enjoying the incredible views of the Cotopaxi volcano, or outside the National Park.

Our return to Quito is scheduled for approximately 5 pm, where we will be conveniently dropped off at our hotel.
