Descripción del Tour

Get ready for a tour full of music, legends, and unique landscapes on this journey through the heart of vallenato. From Riohacha, we`ll travel through southern La Guajira and northern Cesar to discover the places that inspired songs, the icons that shaped generations, and the towns steeped in tradition.

We`ll start our route very early, leaving Riohacha to head south to La Guajira. Our first stop will be Barrancas, a mining town where you can see the impressive Cerrejón truck up close, one of the symbols of the largest coal industry in Latin America.

We will continue to Fonseca, the birthplace of great folklore figures, where we will see the sculptures honoring Carlos Huertas, the beloved singer from Fonseca, and Luis Martínez, the unforgettable Pollo Vallenato.

Then, the route will take us to San Juan del Cesar, detouring towards La Junta, birthplace of the legendary Diomedes Díaz. Here we will visit the famous Casa Museo La Ventana Marroncita, a space full of nostalgia and anecdotes. We will walk through the Cacique Park, where the Diomedes sculpture stands next to an impressive display of all his music albums.

Upon arriving at Valledupar, a delicious typical lunch awaits us on the banks of the Guatapurí River, in the traditional Balneario Hurtado. After lunch, we`ll continue our musical tribute to the most iconic places in this vallenato city.

In the Glorieta de los Juglares, we`ll find sculptures of Diomedes, Martín Elías, and other musical greats. We`ll also visit the Parque de la Provincia, where tribute is paid to icons such as Kaleth Morales, Jorge Oñate, Iván Villazón, Carlos Vives, and others who have brought vallenato to international stages. Finally, we will pass by the Glorieta Consuelo Araujonoguera, in honor of the Pilonera Mayor, founder of the Vallenato Legend Festival.

At the end of the afternoon, we will return to Riohacha filled with melodies, stories, and the authentic flavor of the Colombian Caribbean.
