Tour Description
We will depart from our hotels in Iquique around 8 AM to explore Salitrera Humberstone and Santa Laura. During our visit to these intriguing "ghost towns," we will delve into the history of "white gold" and the pivotal role the saltpeter mines played in Chilean history as we tour the site.
Our journey continues to the town of La Tirana and the town of Mantilla, where we will discover the religious and cultural traditions that define the region.
Following lunch (not included), we will proceed to the town of Pica, where visitors can relax in its semi-thermal waters (entrance fee not included). This oasis is particularly significant, nestled in the heart of the world's driest desert.
After this remarkable day, we will return to our selected hotels in Arica at approximately 6 PM.
