We invite you to get to know this important milestone in the region, where the two most important saltpeter mines in the country are located: the Humberstone and Santa Laura saltpeter mines.
Currently a World Heritage Site, we will be able to visit the Humberstone camp and the Santa Laura saltpeter area, where we will learn about the history of one of the most splendid periods of the country in the middle of the Atacama Desert.
After the visit, we will have time to visit the town of Pica, where we will have the option to enjoy the semi thermal waters of the place.

Descripción del Tour
We will leave from our hotels in Iquique at approximately 8 AM to go to the Salitrera Humberstone and Santa Laura. Here we will visit these "ghost towns" where we will learn about the history of the "white gold" and the importance that the saltpeter mines had in Chilean history while we tour this place.
We will continue on our way to the town of La Tirana and the town of Mantilla, where we will learn about the religious and cultural customs of the region.
After lunch (not included) we will go to the town of Pica, where we can enjoy its semi-thermal waters (entrance fee not included). This oasis is one of the most important as it is located in the middle of the driest desert in the world.
After this incredible day, we will be returning to our selected hotels in Arica at approximately 6 PM.
