Embark on a journey with us along the altiplanic routes departing from the city of Iquique to experience the breathtaking landscapes that this extraordinary tour provides!
Our adventure includes a visit to the Giant Geoglyph of Tarapacá, where you'll delve into its intriguing history. We'll also explore the Geysers of Puchuldiza, a remarkable display of geothermal activity. Additionally, we will discover various altiplanic towns in the vicinity, immersing ourselves in their rich culture and observing the diverse regional fauna, including flamingos, geese, taguas, and guallatas.
Tour Description
Our adventure commences with a hotel pick-up around 7:30 AM, taking us to our first destination: the impressive Geoglyph of Tarapaca, which stands 86 meters tall.
Next, we proceed to the Puchuldiza Geysers, a highlight of the journey. Here, we will witness the stunning 85°C water jets up close.
We then explore the Altiplanic villages of Encuelga, Manque, along with the Lagoon and Salar de Aravilla. In these charming villages, we will encounter diverse local fauna, providing a memorable experience during our tour.
Our journey culminates at Isluga, featuring an 18th-century church, followed by a visit to the border town of Colchane, where we will savor a delightful lunch (not included).
The tour concludes with our return to the selected hotels in Iquique by 9 PM.
