Salimos puntualmente desde Iquique; la coordinación por WhatsApp fue clarísima desde el día anterior. El recorrido combinó Pica, la iglesia de Matilla y pueblos salitreros, con tiempo para fotos, historia amena y un almuerzo sencillo. El guía llevaba agua fría y avisaba cada parada. En familia y temporada baja, todo fluyó sin apuros.

Booked this as the highlight of my anniversary trip, and the pre-booking support was excellent. I had a couple of questions about pickup and altitude, and Camila replied quickly on WhatsApp, even confirming the meeting point beside the Iquique casino the night before. The driver arrived at 7:02, just two minutes late, with a small cooler and clear itinerary. Pica, the saltpeter towns, and the desert landscapes felt wonderfully varied. Small group, no rushing, and plenty of laughs. Great anniversary day out.

Fizemos a excursão em família, com duas crianças, e foi uma ótima pausa no ritmo de praia de Iquique. Em Pica, as palmeiras e a água da Cocha Resbaladero impressionam; em Matilla, a igreja e as ruas tranquilas parecem paradas no tempo. As paisagens áridas até Salitre ficaram lindas no fim da tarde. O guia mostrou uma antiga linha férrea e contou histórias locais sem pressa. Pelo preço, transporte e roteiro renderam muito.

Für uns als frisch verheiratetes Paar war dieser Tagesausflug ab Iquique ein echtes Highlight. Die Kombination aus Pica, den alten Salpeterstädten und der Wüstenlandschaft hat viel Abwechslung geboten. Besonders angenehm: der klimatisierte Kleinbus mit viel Beinfreiheit; sogar Wasser und kleine Snacks waren dabei. Für den Preis fanden wir die Leistung wirklich fair, inklusive kompetenter Erklärungen und pünktlicher Abholung direkt am Hotel. Würden wir jederzeit wieder buchen.

Pendant notre lune de miel, cette excursion nous a vraiment plongés dans le nord du Chili. Nous n’étions que huit dans le minibus, ce qui a créé une ambiance détendue et très conviviale, sans attente interminable. La journée était bien rythmée : visite des anciens bureaux de salpêtre de Humberstone, découverte de Santa Laura, promenade dans les ruelles fleuries de Pica et baignade dans la Cocha Resbaladero. Notre guide nous a aussi fait goûter des citrons de Pica et montré une ancienne locomotive rouillée dans le désert. Entre histoire, échanges avec les habitants et paysages surprenants, tout était varié.
