Tour Description
The day starts with the collection of guests in Itacaré and their transportation to Fazenda Vila Rosa, situated along the Itacaré - Taboquinhas road, approximately 30 minutes from the city of Itacaré.
Upon arrival at Fazenda Vila Rosa, a local guide will greet you and lead a comprehensive tour of the farm, beginning with the cacao harvest. Guests will have the chance to witness the harvesting process firsthand before the cocoa beans move on to fermentation and drying stages.
Once the cocoa is fully dried, it is taken to the chocolate factory, where it is ground and transformed as the chocolate-making process unfolds. Inside the factory, visitors will gain insights into each step of chocolate production and enjoy tastings of various treats, including natural cocoa, cocoa honey, artisanal chocolate, and brownies.
After exploring the cocoa production process, guests can discover the picturesque hamlet of Vila Rosa, learning about its history and admiring its lovely garden with a stone pool and reservoir. Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy a kayak ride available on site.
