Tour Description
The day starts with a transfer from your hotel in Itacaré to the Rio das Contas, where we will board a motorized canoe and set off upriver.
During the journey along the Rio das Contas, guests will have the chance to observe the fascinating meeting point between the salty ocean waters and the fresh river waters. Throughout the trip, your guide will share captivating regional tales, including stories of a steamship shipwreck that took place during the cocoa boom.
As we continue upriver, participants can spot stunning birds such as hawks, herons, vultures, sabiás, toucans, and many more. You'll also see the lush mangroves lining the riverbanks, which are home to thousands of crabs.
Our final stop is a short walk through the forest to Cleandro Waterfall. This waterfall is 26 meters high, with three cascades and two natural pools, ideal for a refreshing swim. Next to the waterfall, there is a restaurant offering local food, drinks, sweets, and artisan products.
On the way back, we end the tour by enjoying the sunset at Pontal Beach, one of the city's most scenic spots.
