During the 4 Beaches and Cachoeira do Tijuípe tour, travelers explore (on foot along a trail) four stunning beaches in Itacaré, situated approximately 15 km from the city center: Itacarezinho, Camboinha, Havaizinho, and Engenhoca. In the afternoon, the excursion continues with a visit to a beautiful waterfall nestled within the Atlantic Forest, known as Cachoeira do Tijuípe. Guests have free time to enjoy lunch and swim at the beaches.

Tour Description

The first stop on our tour is Itacarezinho Beach, stretching over 3.5 km of unspoiled beauty. The white sand, crystal-clear waters, and countless coconut palms create a truly paradise-like setting. The beach features a broad sandy area, dotted with colorful seashells. On the northern end, you’ll discover a freshwater waterfall—the perfect spot to rinse off the sea salt after a swim.

Itacarezinho Beach is equipped with a restaurant and a beachside bar, offering the perfect location to relax and enjoy a cold drink. Please note there is a minimum consumption policy at the restaurant.

After spending some free time at Itacarezinho Beach, we move on to Camboinha Beach. This beach is a small bay with more powerful waves and surrounded by an abundance of coconut trees. From here, we access Havaizinho Beach.

To reach Havaizinho Beach, we follow a 10-minute trail through rocky terrain. This hidden cove is known for its remarkable beauty. At low tide, the sandy area expands, making it a fantastic place to play sports like soccer, volleyball, or frisbee.

You’ll find a few beach huts here that serve meals and drinks at tables right on the sand. This is typically where we stop for lunch (not included). Choices range from traditional tapiocas to a mouthwatering fish moqueca.

After lunch, our journey continues to the final destination of the day: Engenhoca Beach. This beach is notable for its numerous coconut trees, white sand, and clear waters. What sets Engenhoca Beach apart is the river that flows directly onto the sand. The clear water river creates a magical atmosphere, enhancing the paradise feel. Visitors can swim in either the sea or the river. Engenhoca Beach also has a kiosk offering a variety of drinks and meal options.

Next, we head to the stunning Tijuípe Waterfall. Access is via a short, 5-minute trail. The waterfall stands 4 meters high and 15 meters wide, surrounded by the lush Atlantic Forest. The water is quite deep near the falls but remains safe for swimming, even for children who are confident swimmers, with lifeguards present at the site. Next to the waterfall, there is a restaurant-bar—an ideal spot to sip a refreshing drink.

We return to Itacaré in the late afternoon, around 4:00 p.m.
