Between 8 and 8:30 am, we commence with hotel pickups, departing from Ushuaia and heading east along National Route Nº3. Upon reaching the Lasifashaj River, guests can choose between two engaging activities: paddling in inflatable canoes along the river and the Beagle Channel, or proceeding directly to Estancia Harberton to explore the Marine Mammal Museum and the historical surroundings of one of Tierra del Fuego's earliest settlements.
For those opting to paddle, we equip them with rubber boots, waterproof pants, and life jackets to embark on a canoeing adventure that flows downriver to the sea. Upon entering the Beagle Channel, the canoes make their way towards the ranch. During this maritime journey, we have the opportunity to observe local wildlife, including an array of sea birds and occasionally, sea lions basking on the small islands leading to Harberton Harbour.
After either paddling in canoes or touring the Harberton museum, both groups convene at the ranch dock. Together, we board a motorboat to Martillo Island, where we witness penguins in their natural breeding habitat. The journey continues by motorboat to the day's highlight: the majestic Gable Island, where a delightful lunch with Patagonian wine and mineral water awaits.
Following a coffee break, we embark on a scenic walk across this picturesque island, passing beaver dams, the coastal sea, and through lush forests. The excursion culminates as we board the boat back to Harberton to catch the bus returning to Ushuaia.
