Descripción del Tour
This canoeing and trekkingadventure (also known as Yamaning)on Gable Island is crafted for those seeking to venture beyond typical tourist paths, offering an authentic immersion into the heart of Fuegian nature in one of Tierra del Fuego's most untouched landscapes.
Your day kicks off bright and early, departing from Ushuaia at around 08:30 a.m., and heading toward the scenic Beagle Channel coast. Upon arrival at approximately 10:30 a.m., participants receive a comprehensive technical and safety briefing. Here, expert guides will demonstrate the equipment and basic paddling techniques for inflatable canoes.
Once in the water, we begin our journey paddling through the Beagle Channel, skirting unspoiled coastlines and awe-inspiring vistas, echoing the historical passages of the Yámana people, the ancient natives of this land. These waters have seen these indigenous canoers for millennia. The journey seamlessly integrates environmental contact, tranquility, local fauna, and unparalleled views of the End of the World. Around 12:30 p.m., our paddling segment concludes with a landing on Gable Island, a secluded island with limited access. Here, we will savor a hot lunch within an exclusive and cozy retreat, offering panoramic views that encourage relaxation and a deep connection with nature.
Post-lunch, at about 1:30 p.m., a guided hike around Gable Island commences, taking us through forests, along coastlines, and to natural viewpoints. This moderately intense trek allows for an in-depth exploration of the island, granting the unique sensation of complete solitude, surrounded solely by untouched nature. After completing the trek at approximately 4:00 p.m., we will return by canoe to the mainland shore, where our transport awaits to bring us back to Ushuaia. The return to the city is projected for around 6:30 p.m., rounding off a day filled with adventure, nature, and discovery at the genuine End of the World.
