4x4 Tour In Escondido Lake

Enjoy a unique experience touring the most impressive lakes in Tierra del Fuego on a journey in 4x4 vehicles, ideal for discovering landscapes that are otherwise inaccessible.

The adventure begins with the pick up from your accommodation in Ushuaia around 9:00 am. From there we head north through the province along National Route No. 3, crossing majestic valleys, mountains, and the imposing Andes Mountains, with panoramic views of the enchanting Lago Escondido.

In summer, part of the tour includes descending the old Route No. 3 until we reach our refuge on the shores of the lake. During the winter, snow and ice cause this section to be modified to ensure safety, while maintaining the adventurous spirit of the tour.

Once at the Lago Escondido refuge, we will enjoy a comforting snack accompanied by coffee, tea, and homemade treats before continuing the journey.

The excursion continues along Provincial Route No. 119, where the real 4x4 action begins: we will cross muddy terrain, large pools of water, and beaver dams until we reach the majestic Lake Fagnano, the largest in the province. There we will make a special stop to contemplate the immensity of its waters and its unique natural surroundings.

On the way back to the refuge, a typical Fuegian lunch awaits you with a snack as a starter, a delicious roast beef, chorizos, and fresh salads, accompanied by drinks. To close the day, we will serve coffee or tea along with a homemade dessert.

Finally, we will return to the city of Ushuaia, after having experienced an unforgettable day among the mountains, lakes, and forests of Tierra del Fuego.
