Descripción del Tour

We will begin our tour around 8 am when we pick you up at your accommodation in Tinogasta. In the 4x4 truck that we will use as a vehicle throughout the experience, we will set off towards the Tatón Dunes.

From the city of Tinogasta to the Tatón Dunes, we will travel along National Route 60 for approximately two hours, where we will be able to see attractions such as India del Portezuelo, the town of El Puesto, the Watungasta Ruins, and many impressive desert landscapes due to their magnitude until we reach Fiambalá

The Watungasta Ruins are a fascinating testimony to the pre-Columbian cultures that inhabited the region. The guide will be giving us additional information about the history and culture of Catamarca at all times.

Once we arrive at the Tatón Dunes, we will have time to enjoy the landscape, take many photographs from different points and, for the more adventurous, practice sandboarding in the dunes.

Then, we will continue the walk towards the Indio Canyon, where we will go on a trek (of medium difficulty) while we continue enjoying the beauty of the Andean landscape. The Indian Canyon is an ancient riverbed, now dry, which reveals fascinating geological formations originating in the Quaternary period. Sedimentary rocks, sculpted by wind and rain, create a landscape of stunning beauty.

During the trek, you can observe native flora and fauna, including species of cacti, jarillas, tolas, Andean birds, lizards, foxes and even guanacos.

At around 3 pm we will begin our return to Tinogasta, where we will arrive at approximately 5 pm.
