Our journey begins from the designated meeting point, offering you the choice of a morning departure at 09:00 am or an afternoon departure at 03:00 pm. Please note that the departure time might vary based on the season and high tide schedule to optimize your snorkeling experience.
Initially, we will embark on a brief combi tour to explore the urban area of Las Grutas , acquainting ourselves with the local surroundings. During this ride, our guide will provide insightful historical and cultural information about the first settlements in the region and offer an interpretation of the coastal environment.
Subsequently, we will head south of the spa, right along the edge of the San Matías Gulf, to discover one of the most innovative agricultural endeavors in northern Patagonia: “The southernmost olive grove in the world.” This venture has revolutionized olive production and agricultural practices in the Rio Negro coastal desert. Here, we will visit the Olivares Patagónicos production plant, sample various olive oils, and explore other innovative products available on-site, including flavored cheeses, olive soap, and olives.
Continuing our journey north, we will explore the Las Grutas waterfront, nestled by the waters of the San Antonio Oeste Bay; our itinerary includes a visit to the fishing pier and the historic ambiance of the old railway district.
We will proceed 70 km to Puerto San Antonio Este, to experience Playa de las Conchillas, an expansive 18 km unspoiled beach adorned with purple clams that have gradually lost their color under the sun, transforming the coast into a whitish and gleaming paradise, affectionately known as the "Caribbean of Patagonia."
The San Antonio Este Port also offers an opportunity to discover Punta Perdiz, home to one of the area's most unforgettable beaches, Caleta Falsa. Here, we will relish the sound of the sea, as this area remains largely undeveloped with no inns or shops. The tranquility allows us to bask in the sun, enjoy the beach, observe seagulls, and if fortunate, catch a glimpse of a dolphin frolicking in the sea.
The crystal-clear waters beckon us to snorkel, and our guide will provide the necessary equipment and basic instructions to delight in this captivating sport, where the marine microfauna will amaze us.
To conclude our tour, we will head to La Lobería, located just 5 km away, where we can observe from the shore one of the largest sea lion colonies. While enjoying the view, we will toast to a memorable day.
The return to the meeting point is planned for either 3 or 9 pm, based on your selected departure time.
