During your trip, you will enjoy two full-day excursions through some of the most iconic landscapes in Northern Argentina. Your first adventure starts early in the morning in Salta, traveling through the valleys of San Salvador de Jujuy before entering the historic Quebrada de Humahuaca. Along the way, you will visit several towns and attractions while discovering the region’s remarkable natural and cultural diversity.

The itinerary includes Yala, Volcán, Tumbaya, and Purmamarca, where you can admire the famous Hill of Seven Colors, one of Northern Argentina’s most celebrated natural formations. The journey continues to Maimará, known for its distinctive Painter’s Palette, and Tilcara, home to the important archaeological site of El Pucará de Tilcara.

The excursion then proceeds to Huacalera, crossing the Tropic of Capricorn, and continues to Uquía, renowned for its church and historic paintings from the Cusco School. Finally, you will reach Humahuaca, where you can explore its traditional town and visit the Independence Monument.

After discovering the main attractions of the Quebrada, you will begin the return journey to the city of Salta.

The second day begins early in Salta as you travel toward the province of Jujuy. The route crosses part of the Quebrada de Humahuaca and takes you through some of the area’s most picturesque towns before reaching the Salinas Grandes salt flats.

The circuit starts by passing through General Güemes, San Salvador de Jujuy, Yala, and Volcán, until arriving in Purmamarca. There, you can admire the imposing Hill of 7 Colors and explore the streets of this traditional Andean town.

From Purmamarca, you will continue along the spectacular Lipán Pass, a mountain road reaching approximately 4,170 meters above sea level. During the ascent, you will stop at scenic viewpoints to appreciate the landscapes of the Puna and take photographs.

The main destination is Salinas Grandes, located at approximately 3,400 meters above sea level. Here, you can admire the vast white expanse of the salt flats, take a walk, and experience one of the most impressive natural landscapes in Northern Argentina.

You will then return to Purmamarca, where you will have free time to enjoy lunch on your own and explore the town before traveling back to Salta. Several stops will be made along the way for walking, appreciating the scenery, and taking photographs.

To complete the experience, the package includes a transfer from your hotel in Salta to the airport, taking care of the final transportation arrangements for your trip.
