The tour kicks off with a pick-up from central hotels in Salta, starting at 07:00 am.
The first destination is the charming town of Purmamarca, where you'll admire the stunning Hill of Seven Colors, the historic Church, and the vibrant Artisanal Market. The journey continues through the Hornillos Post, leading to the town of Tilcara for a visit to the fascinating Pucará.
The next stop is Huacalera, where you will cross the Tropic of Capricorn, offering views of the colorful Cerro la Pollera de la Coya. We'll also visit the Church of Uquía, home to the renowned Arquebusier Angels paintings, a significant remnant of the Cuzqueña school. The tour proceeds to Humahuaca, featuring its majestic Cathedral and the iconic Independence Monument (El Indio) by sculptor Soto Avendaño.
Following lunch, we will head back to take in the sights of "the Painter's Palette", which beautifully frames the town of Maimara. If time allows, we'll return to Salta via the scenic cornice road, abundant with subtropical vegetation, passing through the Abra de Santa Laura, and observing the La Ciénaga, Las Maderas, and Campo Alegre dams.
