DAY 1
Departure from hotels in Salta at 7 am
Our journey begins with a scenic drive through the Valley of Lerma to the charming village of Carril, continuing through Chicoana and entering the Quebrada de los Laureles. We then proceed to the Quebrada de Escoipe and arrive at Maray, a quaint mountain village. From here, we navigate the winding roads of the Cuesta del Obispo, offering stunning views of the Enchanted Valley and its picturesque homes surrounded by corn and fruit fields. Upon reaching Cachi, enjoy breathtaking vistas of the Nevado de Cachi and Payogasta Hills. The visit to Cachi includes stops at the Museum of Archaeology and the local Church.
We continue our adventure along Route 40, where you'll be captivated by the mountainous landscapes and charming villages lining the Calchaquí River. The journey takes us through Quebrada de las Flechas, San Carlos, and Animaná, culminating in our arrival at Cafayate, where we spend the night (accommodation not included).
DAY 2
Today is dedicated to exploring Cafayate, the youngest city in the Calchaquí Valleys, renowned worldwide for its wine production, particularly the Torrontés variety. Enjoy tastings at both artisanal and industrial wineries. After lunch (not included), we make our way back to Salta, traversing the stunning Quebrada de las Conchas and the Lerma Valley route.
