We kick off our adventure bright and early, collecting guests from their centrally located accommodations in our comfortable vehicles.
Our first destination is Rawson Port, where we set sail to observe the Patagonian Dolphin, also known as the Pío Dolphin or Tonina. This adorable and small dolphin is an endemic species, with males measuring up to 1.45 meters and females reaching up to 1.52 meters. With a bit of luck, we'll witness them in their element, showcasing acrobatics in their natural environment. These dolphins are extremely lively, enjoying rapid swimming at the surface, jumping, and riding the waves. This sighting is a rare opportunity as this is the sole location globally where they can be observed.
Following this, we proceed to the city of Trelew to explore the Egidio Feruglio Paleontological Museum. Established in 1990, this museum is the leading institution of its kind in South America, renowned for its stunning exhibition of unique species. It boasts nearly 40,000 fossils, featuring both replicas and original specimens of dinosaurs, including the Patagotitan mayorum, the largest dinosaur ever discovered. Here, visitors can marvel at dinosaur fossils and other ancient beings, while gaining insights into the region's comprehensive geological history.
