Descripción del Tour:

Our adventure kicks off as we depart from our chosen hotels in Puerto Madryn between approximately 07:15 and 07:30 AM. Our initial destination is the Rawson Port, located in Playa Unión.

Here, we'll set sail to embark on a dolphin-watching journey, where we'll seek out the smallest dolphin in the world. It's important to remember that these delightful creatures roam freely, so while our navigation efforts aim to locate them, our success will ultimately depend on the dolphins themselves. After an hour of exploration, we'll return to Rawson Port, allowing for free time to enjoy lunch (not included).

Post-lunch, we'll head to Punta Tombo, a geographical marvel that's home to the Magellan penguin. During our 1:30-hour visit, you'll have the chance to observe the harmonious coexistence of local wildlife, including gulls, skuas, giant petrels, cormorants, oystercatchers, and steamer ducks. If fortune favors us, we might also spot some iconic steppe species such as guanacos, choiques, maras, and foxes.

Following this visit, we'll make our way back to Puerto Madryn, arriving at approximately 18:30 PM.

The weather is also warmer and more suitable for outdoor activities, making the experience more comfortable and memorable.

For the hike to Punta Tombo, it is recommended to wear comfortable clothing, preferably cotton or light, breathable materials. A hat and sunglasses are essential for sun protection, as is high-factor sunscreen. A windbreaker or light jacket is recommended, as the weather can be windy. Comfortable, sturdy footwear is necessary for walking the trail. Don't forget a camera to capture incredible moments with the penguins and other aspects of the local flora and fauna.

Yes, the Punta Tombo excursion offers the opportunity to spot the fascinating Commerson's dolphins. These small, agile dolphin species are known for their acrobatics and often approach boats, providing unforgettable moments. Watching is carried out responsibly, ensuring minimal impact on marine wildlife. It's important to note that sightings depend on weather and natural conditions, so they are not always guaranteed, but the chances are high during the appropriate season.

The excursion lasts approximately 10 hours, starting early in the morning. The itinerary includes transportation from the meeting point in Puerto Madryn to the Punta Tombo Reserve, where you will take a guided hike along the reserve's trail to observe wildlife, primarily Magellanic penguins. Time is also included for Commerson's dolphin watching, as well as informative stops about the local flora and fauna. Some tours may offer optional lunch or snacks for an additional fee.
