Descripción del Tour:

Begin your journey from El Calafate , venturing onto gravel road No. 15, commonly referred to as the “Camino de las Estancias” . Along this route, it's typical to spot condors, foxes, and hares, with the majestic Cerro Frías dominating the landscape. Crossing the Río Rico , you'll notice a dramatic transformation from steppe to mountainous terrain.
Arrive at the ranch after skirting the shores of Lake Roca and entering the renowned Los Glaciares National Park . A welcoming guide will greet you at the Estancia and escort you to the Quincho, where you'll enjoy a warm beverage—be it tea, coffee, or mate—paired with homemade pastries. Take a moment to soak in the stunning views of the Cordillera de los Andes .
Next, embark on a tour of the facilities of a classic Patagonian ranch, which once focused on sheep farming. Today, it stands as the most esteemed Hereford cattle farm in the region, while still maintaining a flock of sheep.
At the stables, those who choose the horseback ride will mount up and explore the surroundings with a local guide.
Meanwhile, the remainder of the group will embark on a hike , offering superb vistas of the South Arm of Lake Argentino and revealing various rocky formations shaped by glacial activity and lake level changes. The trails lead through a forest of lengas and ñires, home to caranchos, cachañas, hares, woodpeckers, eagles, and a rich variety of native flora and fauna. The path may adjust based on weather conditions. (Hike or horseback ride 45 m/1 h. Level: easy)
Upon concluding, the group gathers at the entrance of the shearing shed, now the ranch's historical museum. This is a chance to explore the shed's components and grasp the labor involved. During daily activities, visitors can also partake in morning milking and sheep herding, rounding off a typical day at the Estancia. Note that some activities might change due to weather conditions.
Returning to the barbecue area where a lamb is being roasted , the focus shifts to the history of the area, sharing stories and anecdotes of the early settlers. Passing through the orchard, which supplies most of the ranch's vegetables, we arrive at the Quincho where the Asador will have the barbecue prepared. Guests will savor a delightful Patagonian lamb meal while admiring the breathtaking view of the Cordillera.
After the meal, we will journey back to the City of El Calafate.
