On this tour, guests will have the chance to explore 2 wineries to compare different production techniques.
The tour starts with a stroll through the vineyards and the winery, including the underground cellars, led by a knowledgeable Oenologist, who will introduce us to the vineyards, production area, and cellar.
At each winery, we will enjoy an exceptional tasting of 3 to 5 premium wines, paired with a delightful selection of regional cheeses and cold cuts.
Lunch is a delightful experience, complemented by exquisite local wines. You will have the opportunity to savor their pairings with national cuisine dishes. The meal consists of three courses: starter, main course, and dessert. Each course is paired with one or more wines that perfectly complement the selected menu.
An essential recommendation is the beef, renowned for its quality in Uruguay, typically grilled. This method uses embers from a wood fire, imparting a delicious smoky flavor.
Tannat is the perfect partner for Uruguayan meats, with its structure and tannin concentration, enhancing the meat while the meat enriches the wine's flavor. Dessert can be paired with a late harvest, a dessert wine, or a sparkling demi sec.
We will visit the following wineries: Spinoglio and Pizzorno. One will host the wine tasting, and the other will provide the lunch experience.
