The tour kicks off around 10:00 AM when a semi-private VAN arrives to pick you up from your centrally located hotel in Montevideo. Should you choose to reach the winery independently, the experience begins at 11:00 AM.
Upon arrival at Bodega Bouza, situated approximately 20 kilometers from Montevideo, you'll embark on a guided tour of the vineyards and the winery. Here, you'll delve into the history of this family enterprise and uncover the intricacies of the wine production process. Additionally, you’ll have the chance to admire the Bouza family's classic car collection.
Following the tour, which lasts about 45 minutes, you'll partake in a tasting of 4 selected wines: savor a glass of Bouza Chardonnay, a glass of Parcela Unica Merlot, a glass of Monte Vide Eu, and a glass of Bouza Tannat, all accompanied by a selection of snacks crafted to perfectly complement the chosen wines.
After the tasting, we'll proceed to the winery's restaurant for a delightful lunch featuring a 3-course paired menu. You'll have the choice between 4 options for starter, main course, and dessert, with the option to receive recommendations and pairing suggestions for the dishes you select.
For an even more comprehensive experience, opt for the 7-course menu instead of the 3-course one. This option allows you to indulge in the finest seven dishes on the menu and seven of the winery's top wines, including the "grappa" pomace distillate and Gin Bo-Bo. Each dish is meticulously crafted to achieve the perfect pairing with each wine.
After the approximately hour and a half lunch, this complete experience at Bodega Bouza concludes. If you opt for the semi-private transfer, it will conveniently return you to your hotel in downtown Montevideo.
