Tour Description
The day trip begins bright and early. We'll pick you up from your hotel in the city of Lima and take you to the bus station for a 4-hour journey to the town of Paracas. Once we reach Paracas, we will escort you to the Pisco airport.
Here, you will embark on an incredible 1.5-hour aerial adventure over the enigmatic Nazca Lines. During the flight, you'll spot astonishing figures such as the monkey, the spider, the Condor, and various other drawings spread across these magnificent plains.
These remarkable geoglyphs were crafted by the Nazca culture, a pre-Inca civilization that thrived between 700 B.C. and 200 A.D. Visible only from the air, these drawings are located 280 miles south of Lima. First sighted in 1547, they were later studied by Peruvian archaeologist Julio C. Tello in 1929. In 1994, the Nazca Lines were designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
After your Nazca Lines tour, you'll be transferred to your hotel in Paracas for a much-deserved afternoon of relaxation.
The tour kicks off early in the morning as we pick you up from your hotel in Paracas. We'll head to El Chaco pier and board a boat for a tour of the Ballestas Islands, part of the breathtaking Paracas National Reserve. These rocky isles are just a 30-minute boat ride from the Peruvian coast.
You'll witness a remarkable array of marine life, including sea lions and a variety of birds such as Humboldt penguins, pelicans, and other migratory species. Additionally, you'll have the chance to view the iconic Candelabrum from the boat, a large geoglyph possibly linked to the ancient Nazca culture. You'll be captivated by the beauty of the Peruvian coast.
Following the visit, we'll transport you back to the bus station for your return trip to Lima, where you'll be taken to your hotel.
