Mountain Bike City Tour

The Cusco mountain biking tour kicks off with a convenient hotel pickup in the city, setting the stage for an exhilarating cycling adventure. Your journey leads you to the Colonial Aqueduct Fortress in the Tica Huerta – Huarahuaylla community, located on the route connecting the districts of Poroy and Chinchero, at an elevation of 3890 meters above sea level.

This remarkable site features a Roman-style stone wall complete with four windows and a central arch, remarkably well-preserved. Constructed in 1570, the aqueduct is recognized as a Cultural Heritage site, having supplied water to the city during the Inca Empire.

Here, you'll embark on your biking excursion towards Apukunaq Tianan, also known as the Abode of the Gods, located near the aqueducts. This site showcases an array of stone-carved sculptures representing deities and figures from the Inca culture, including the Puma and Pachamama, symbolizing Mother Earth.

Descending along a scenic route, you'll pass through various traditional districts like Tica Tica, offering breathtaking views of Sacsayhuamán. The bike ride continues through neighborhoods such as San Benito, Picchu, and Independencia, culminating at the Pachacutec roundabout.

At this juncture, the first circuit concludes, and transportation will carry you to the next starting point in the community of Huayllarcocha. Here, you'll visit a local farm to admire the incredible fauna including llamas and alpacas.

Subsequently, you'll commence the next bike ride along a downhill path, passing close to Sacsayhuamán, eventually reaching the district of San Cristobal, where you'll be treated to breathtaking city views.
