Descripción del Tour
In the early morning, we will depart from your hotel in Cusco city and head to the Poroy Train Station via private transport. Here begins our remarkable journey aboard one of the world's most extraordinary trains, the Hiram Bingham Train. The experience provided is nothing short of first class.
The train's exquisite classic design complements the dining atmosphere, allowing us to savor exquisite dishes meticulously crafted by expert chefs. We will enjoy a welcome cocktail and a gourmet lunch. We highly recommend trying the Pisco Sour, a traditional cocktail made with Pisco.
The train is equipped with 2 dining cars, an observation/bar car, and a kitchen car, accommodating up to 84 guests. The journey from Poroy takes approximately 3 hours.
The scenery is awe-inspiring. Along the route, you can admire stunning mountains with unique flora, including the Veronica Snowy. As we follow the course of the Urubamba River, drawing closer to the canyon, we will reach the town of Aguas Calientes, nestled in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. From there, we will board a small bus that will transport us up the winding road to the sacred Inca citadel: Machu Picchu.
The Lost City of the Incas will captivate us with its terraces, ceremonial shrines, steps, and the solar clock, or Intihuatana, as well as the Sun Gate, or Inti Punku. All of this will be explored in a guided tour amid a special atmosphere. Machu Picchu was constructed under the reign of Inca Pachacutec in 1450 A.D., serving as an urban and religious center.
Machu Picchu is interconnected by the Inca Trails at an elevation of 2,400 meters above sea level, situated in a subtropical region. This archaeological marvel was uncovered by Hiram Bingham in 1911 and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983.
After a delightful tea time in a luxurious hotel with breathtaking mountain views, we will board the train back to Cusco, enjoying entertainment and a refined gourmet dinner on board.
Upon arrival at the Poroy Train Station, you will be transferred to your hotel in Cusco city.
