We will begin our adventure early in the morning by picking you up from your accommodation in the picturesque town of Ollantaytambo, and set off on the road that leads to Quillabamba.
Our initial stop will be at the archaeological site of Las Peñas, located just 15 kilometers away. Here, you can not only explore ancient Inca ruins but also admire native birds such as the Chestnut-breasted Mountain-finch and the White-tufted Sunbeam.
Next, our journey will guide us to the stunning Abra Panticalla, where we will continue birdwatching amidst a breathtaking high Andean landscape. At a peak elevation of 4,316 meters above sea level, the Abra Málaga Pass is a haven for nature enthusiasts and bird conservation advocates.
