Tour Description

We will collect you from your hotel located in the historic center of Arequipa. Our journey begins as we head towards Yura, skirting the Volcano Chachani, until we arrive at the ghost town of Pampa de Arrieros. This area once served as the gateway for travelers arriving by train to the renowned white city.

Our adventure includes a brief stop at the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, a remarkable area teeming with wildlife like vicuñas, guanacos, and llamas. Here, you can also take in breathtaking landscapes framed by majestic volcanoes.

After enjoying a snack, we will continue along the Arequipa-Puno road until we reach the Stone Forest of Imata, situated in the district of San Antonio de Chuca, within the province of Cayllona, at an altitude of 4,300 meters above sea level. From this location, we'll embark on a walking tour through this extraordinary forest, which features rock formations made of volcanic material, offering a stunning display of natural abstract art.

The journey proceeds to the Pillones waterfalls. This attraction is perched at 4,600 meters above sea level, where we will observe various Andean birds such as swallows and different species of ducks. You will have the chance to explore the area, venture down to the rocky lower sections, and capture photos of the awe-inspiring views.

Finally, we will return to the starting point of our walk and board the tourist transport for our journey back to the city. On our return, we will pause for an optional lunch. Following this, we will drop you off at your hotel.
