Our adventure begins in Santa Marta, where we gather early in the morning and set out on the Caribbean trunk road toward the municipality of Ciénaga. In just about 35 minutes, we will reach this iconic destination, famous for its vibrant history and cultural significance.
Our first stop takes us to the shores of the Caribbean Sea, a scenic spot where local fishermen and graceful white herons known as "Yellow Shoes" will greet us. With your swimsuit ready, you’ll have free time to stroll along the beach, soak in the invigorating sea breeze, unwind on the sand, and take refreshing swims in the ocean. This initial encounter with the sea will be a rejuvenating experience to energize you for the rest of the day.
Once we’ve enjoyed the seaside, we’ll head to the only hot springs in the Colombian Caribbean region, located just a short drive from Ciénaga. We’ll travel along a road lined with sugar mango trees and banana plants until we arrive at this welcoming, natural haven. Here, you can soak in the hot springs, celebrated for their healing and relaxing qualities.
