Our activity is divided into two sections, which you can choose to experience either on the same day or separately. To maximize your enjoyment, we recommend starting early in the morning.
- First section - Visit a Silletera farm in Santa Elena:
One of our private vehicles will pick you up from your hotel to commence the excursion to Santa Elena. Accompanied by our expert guide, who specializes in Silletera culture, you'll gain insight and hear fascinating stories about the area and the floral traditions of Medellín.
We will arrive in Santa Elena, a picturesque town nestled in the nearby mountains of Medellín. Here, you'll find a silletera farm where the stunning flowers used to create silletas are cultivated. Upon arrival, a traditional Silletero will warmly welcome you and guide you around the estate.
As you delve into the Silletera culture, you'll learn about the history and customs of this ancient craft. Discover the secrets of flower cultivation, selection, and care that contribute to crafting extraordinary silletas. The Silletero will share their experience and expertise, demonstrating the silleta-making process from flower selection to assembly.
