On this street food tour, you`ll explore authentic neighborhoods like La Matuna, San Diego, Plaza del Estudiante, and vibrant Getsemaní, accompanied by an expert, bilingual local guide who will help you discover much more than what`s on your plate.

For two and a half hours, you`ll try nine traditional delicacies, including food and drinks that represent the best of Cartagena`s gastronomy: from ceviche and patacón con suero (soybean curd), to egg arepa (a traditional soup), regional sweets, tropical fruit juices, craft beer, and the essential Colombian coffee.

We will meet the local guide at the meeting point at 10:30 a.m. if you choose the morning shift, or at 4:00 p.m. if you prefer the afternoon shift. The guide, bilingual in Spanish and English, will give you a brief introduction to the tour, explaining what you will experience during the next 2 and a half hours.

We will begin the tour at La Matuna, where we will stop to try two typical delicacies: ceviche and patacón with whey and cheese. This combination of fresh, local flavors is one of the most representative dishes of the region.

Then, we will head to the Portal de los Dulces, a place full of history and sweetness, where you can taste the typical sweets of Colombia and the Caribbean region. The mix of Spanish, African, and indigenous influences in These sweets will surprise you.

We will continue the tour to the San Diego neighborhood, a place full of culinary tradition. Here, you can try the famous Cartagena fried foods, such as egg arepa, carimañola, and stuffed potato. You`ll also have the chance to try a traditional Cartagena soup, perfect for enjoying the city`s warm climate.

The next stop will be at Plaza del Estudiante, where we`ll delight in pandebono, a cheese bread originally from Valle del Cauca. You`ll also have the chance to try natural Caribbean fruit juices, perfect for refreshing yourself.

Finally, we`ll arrive at Getsemaní, one of the most active neighborhoods in Cartagena. There, we will try more arepas, and you can enjoy a refreshing yuca beer. Finally, you can`t miss a cup of Colombian coffee, which will allow you to close this culinary tour with an authentic and unique flavor.
