The day kicks off bright and early with our assembly at the designated locations:
07:00 AM: Departure from Parque de los Periodistas in La Candelaria.
8:00 AM: Gather with the group at the second meeting location: Parque de la 93. Our journey to Guatavita begins here.
11:00 AM: Arrival in Guatavita. We will commence the hike to the Guatavita Lagoon, nestled in the Chingaza Natural Park. Guided by our knowledgeable expert, you will traverse the trails surrounding the sacred lagoon and delve into the legend of El Dorado and the Muisca culture.
Legend has it that the Guatavita Lagoon was the venue for a sacred ritual conducted by the Muisca indigenous people. In this ceremony, the chief was immersed in the waters with offerings of gold and emeralds. The ritual honored the goddess of fertility and abundance, with the belief that the chief would emerge cleansed and blessed by the goddess.

02:30 PM: From Guatavita, we proceed to the city of Zipaquirá. Upon arrival, free time is available for lunch (lunch not included).
04:00 PM: Arrival at the Zipaquirá Salt Cathedral. Discover the fascinating history behind this remarkable architectural and mining feat. The cathedral tour is self-guided with an audio guide, allowing you to explore various chapels and spaces for meditation and reflection.
