Wine Tour And Tasting - Casablanca Valley Boutique Vineyards

Today marks the beginning of our adventure in the charming and vibrant Casablanca Valley, a key wine-producing region located in the heart of the country.

We will depart from our hotel around 9:00 am, heading along Route 68 to reach the Casablanca Valley. Our itinerary includes visits to two boutique vineyards in the area, where we will sample unique varieties like "Sangiovese" and "Carignan", alongside fresh takes on classic varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Carmenere, and Syrah.

Our journey will take us through renowned wineries in the Casablanca Valley, where we will delve into the art and science behind creating world-class wines. We'll discover the contemporary winemaking techniques and artisanal passion that breathe life into each bottle.

During the tour, we’ll visit two vineyards, with options including boutique or family-owned wineries. The exact locations may vary based on availability, but the distinctive experience is guaranteed.

Viña Villard, established in 1989 by Thierry Villard, holds the distinction of being the first boutique winery in Chile. For over three decades, Viña Villard has earned a reputation as one of the top wineries in the valley. With a profound understanding of their land and terroir, the second generation of the Villard family has been innovating with new winemaking techniques to craft super-premium wines characterized by structure and elegance. Their iconic wines, "Tanagra", a flawless Syrah, and "Arganat", a delightful and fresh Chardonnay, are skillfully blended from harvest through vinification, oak aging, and bottling.

Viña Casas del Bosque, a family-operated vineyard founded in 1993, is situated in the heart of the Casablanca Valley. It employs cutting-edge technology throughout every stage of the winemaking process. Consistently ranked among the world's best vineyards to visit, it offers exceptional wine tourism experiences, including exclusive wine and food pairings. Its premium wines are celebrated for their freshness and distinctiveness, featuring grape varieties such as Riesling, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Carmenere.

Viña Recova is located in one of the most secluded and cool areas beyond the Casablanca Valley. This boutique winery produces small-batch wines from a single variety, Sauvignon Blanc. Their wines capture the essence of the land, with vineyards boasting unique characteristics. A highlight of the visit is the opportunity to be welcomed into the producer's home, providing an intimate look at the small-scale winemaking process and the stunning surroundings in this remote corner of the Casablanca Valley.

Between our vineyard visits, we will savor a delectable lunch featuring traditional Chilean cuisine from the valley.

Finally, in the afternoon, we will make our way back to our hotel in Santiago, carrying with us the emotions and experiences of a day well spent in this fresh and dynamic valley.
