We welcome you to this unique experience in the heart of Santiago!
This tour invites us to discover the secrets and charms of the Matta Sur neighborhood, a hidden treasure just 10 minutes from the hustle and bustle of the city center. Today we`ll delve into the history, heritage, and authenticity of this neighborhood, accompanied by the warmth of its community.
We begin our journey at the iconic Matta Metro Station. From here, we`ll immerse ourselves in the historical context of the area, declared a Typical Zone for its rich working-class and migrant heritage.
Our first stop takes us to an authentic local bakery, where the aromas of traditional pine and cheese empanadas, along with the Chileanito sweet, will captivate us. We`ll also continue to one of the local craft breweries for a tasting.
We continue our tour exploring the traditional citès in the "Aurelio Pozo" housing complex. We will discover together how various communities settled in this area over the years and the migrant influence that has left its mark.
