Tour Description
Our journey begins in the early morning hours, specifically around 5:30 AM, as we set off from Coyhaique toward a Patagonian ranch just as the first light of day emerges. We will navigate the ranch's internal trails to reach "Las Condoreras" right at dawn. Here, we will leave our vehicles and quietly walk a short distance to observe from the cliff heights our main attraction, "The Condor," in its natural environment. With the Valley of the Moon providing a stunning backdrop to this magnificent sunrise, we will have the opportunity to admire and capture photographs of the condors as they awaken, from remarkably close vantage points. As we watch them glide through the skies nearby, we will learn to identify them by gender and age, uncover insights into their survival in the region, and gain interesting knowledge about their life and reproduction, all shared by our knowledgeable guides who will accompany us throughout this experience.
Following this extraordinary encounter, we will head back to Coyhaique, stopping at two Tehuelche archaeological sites along the way. At "El Picadero," we will discover how they crafted their agricultural and hunting tools, and then proceed to visit a Chenque Cemetery, where we will delve into ancient funerary practices, among other fascinating aspects of the Tehuelche culture. We will return to Coyhaique by midday, leaving you ample time to unwind and enjoy the remainder of the day.
