We will arrange your pickup from your hotel at the time we agree on together, whether it's 9:00 a.m. or in the afternoon around 4:00 p.m.
Prepare to travel back in time as we delve into the ancient pre-Columbian civilizations that once thrived in this region. This tour will unveil remarkable archaeological sites, ancient mummies, and the rich cultural heritage that defines the area.
Our journey begins in the Azapa Valley, renowned for its vibrant vegetation and its cultivation of olives, grapes, as well as mango and passion fruit plantations. Enjoy breathtaking views of the fields and plantations contrasting beautifully with the surrounding arid landscape.
Our next stop is the Cerro Sombrero housing complex, where we will admire the Geoglyphs, notably La Tropilla, followed by a visit to Cerro Sagrado de Alto Ramírez. Located about 8 km from the coast in the Azapa Valley, the slope facing the valley showcases a geoglyph crafted by arranging dark stones on the lighter hill background. It depicts large human figures, camelids, snakes, and lizards, all visible from afar.
