Our journey begins at the Ushuaia tourist pier, where you'll complete the check-in process at our office.
We'll board the bus and travel along Route 3, reaching the Harberton Ranch in about 2 hours. Here, we'll embark on a covered semi-rigid boat for a 15-minute sail to Martillo Island. With a specialized guide, we'll disembark to spend an hour on the island.
As we stroll along designated paths to avoid disturbing the penguins' natural habitat, we'll observe over 1,000 nests of the Magellanic species and around 9 nests of the Gentoo species, unique to South America. This location is ideal for penguins due to minimal predators, plentiful food, and vegetation that offers suitable shelter for nesting and breeding.
Throughout our visit, a guide will accompany us to educate on the lives of these remarkable seabirds and ensure compliance with the island's conduct regulations.
Once there, we'll utilize a semi-rigid zodiac boat to reach the island. Following a 15-minute boat journey, we'll spend an hour exploring the Gentoo and Magellanic penguin communities with our guide.
