The adventure kicks off with a morning pickup from Salta hotels between 7:00 and 7:30 AM, utilizing 4x4 vehicles for the journey.
We will set out from Salta to traverse the majestic Andes mountain range, following the Quebrada del Toro. This marks the start of the initial segment of the Train to the Clouds route, leading us to one of Argentina's most significant pre-Inca sites, where remnants of 2,000 natives have been discovered. Here, we'll explore the archaeological site of the Santa Rosa de Tastil citadel, including its terraces, and pay a visit to the local museum.
Our journey continues to Laguna del Toro, situated at an elevation of 3,000 meters. This breathtaking location offers a perfect setting for birdwatching, featuring species like pink flamingos and Andean ducks, among others. Amidst this stunning scenery, we will relish our lunch before making our way back.
We'll return to the hotels in Salta by the afternoon.
