Tour Description
In the morning, a knowledgeable guide will meet you at your hotel in central Mendoza to embark on a journey to some of the most prestigious wine regions in South America. Your first destination is Luján de Cuyo, situated in the upper valley of Mendoza, where Chardonnay, Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes flourish at an elevation of 1,000 meters. This marks the beginning of an enthralling day of wine tours in Mendoza.
After a brief drive, you will reach your initial stop, an industrial winery, where you'll have the chance to wander through the vineyards and partake in a tasting session conducted by experts. The experience begins with Argentina's world-renowned Malbec, and you'll also get acquainted with other grape varieties cultivated in the region, including Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, and Chardonnay.
Next, you’ll proceed to a boutique winery for the second wine tasting, where you'll witness a distinct aspect of the region's wine production. Here, you'll observe the contrast between large-scale industrial wine production and smaller-scale artisanal processes.
At the third and final winery, the host will warmly welcome you to enjoy a sumptuous gourmet lunch inside the winery, perfectly paired with their own label wines.
In each winery, you'll discover the unique histories and techniques involved in their diverse approaches to winemaking.
Depending on availability, the wineries you might visit include Lunlunta, Fray Luis Beltrán in the Maipú Department, as well as Perdriel, Agrelo, Alto Agrelo, and the Vistalba Valley in Luján de Cuyo.
Your wine tasting adventure concludes with a return to your hotel in Mendoza.
