Tour Description
We will depart from our chosen hotels in La Rioja capital, initially traveling through the stunning Quebrada de Los Sauces and its impressive dam, until we drive along the bank of a dry river. At this point, we will step out of the vehicle and commence our trek.
The hike will take us up the slope of a steep hill, leading to the summit where the remains of an ancient indigenous pucará await discovery. Here, we can delve into the history of the early inhabitants and explore the fortress, which was used for observation and defense.
At the Pucará, we will be treated to a breathtaking panoramic view of the Los Sauces Dam and the Sierras del Velasco. After enjoying a wonderful time at the Pucará, we will descend back to our vehicle and head back to the city of La Rioja.
