Excursion To Talampaya Canyon And Shimpa Canyon

Our tour begins at theentrance to Talampaya National Park.Once there , you will climb aboard a 4×4 truck and come into direct contact with the landscape.

You will have the opportunity to know the history and culture of ancient peoples through petroglyphs, mortars and ceremony spaces that tell ancestral stories.

There will be 5 stops during the tour. The first is to see the Petroglyphs. It is the rock art carved into the rocks by ancient civilizations. Our guide will take you through the interpretations of these mysterious engravings and tell you the stories they hide.

Then you will continue to the Botanical Garden. In this oasis in the middle of the desert, you will discover the surprising flora and fauna that inhabit this environment. You will learn about the diversity of species that have managed to adapt to extreme conditions and the importance of their conservation.

Next you will head in the vehicle to theShimpa Canyon, where you will walk along the dry riverbed surrounded by imposing phills more than 80 meters high. Next you will tour the carob forest that characterizes it so much.

The third stop is theGothic Cathedral, it is arock formation. You will be surprised by its high pillars andnatural ceilings sculpted by erosion.

Then you will reach the "El Monje". This stop will allow you to explore one of the most iconic rock formations in the park. Its appearance similar to a monk praying is one of the unmissable natural wonders.
