Excursion to the Six-Thousanders Road and Pissis Balcony from Fiambalá
Embark on a unforgettable high-altitude adventure in Catamarca, where you will explore one of the Andes Mountains' most stunning landscapes: the Six-Thousanders Road. Ascend to the remarkable Balcony of Pissis, positioned at an impressive 4,500 meters above sea level.
The excursion kicks off each day at 7:00 a.m. with a pick-up from accommodations in Fiambalá. From there, we set out in 4x4 vehicles along National Route 60, heading west toward the San Francisco Pass. Upon reaching kilometer 80, we begin our journey on the renowned Camino de los Seismiles (Road of the Six-Thousanders), a picturesque route flanked by volcanoes towering over 6,000 meters. Throughout the tour, we will visit some of the region's most stunning high-altitude lakes, such as Laguna del Aparejo and Laguna Celeste, until we reach the tour's pinnacle: the Balcony of Pissis, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Six-Thousander volcanoes.
We then commence our descent, continuing the circuit through Laguna Negra, Ojo de Campo, and finally Laguna Verde, concluding an unforgettable itinerary in the heart of the Catamarca Puna.
