Our excursion kicks off with a hotel pickup in El Calafate at 9:30 am.

We will depart from Calafate, heading onto Provincial Route 15, famously known as the Route of the Estancias or the Route of the Pioneers. Along this journey, our guide will share insights about the current life in El Calafate, its unique flora and fauna, all while we take in the stunning Patagonian landscape.
As we traverse this gravel road, the guide will delve into the region's history, focusing on the era of the ranches. We will learn about the significant 1921 strike, often referred to as the Rebel Patagonia or the Tragic Patagonia, with its pivotal moments occurring at the Estancia Anita. This narrative will lead us to the Cenotaph, commemorating these historical events.
Throughout our journey, we will encounter panoramic viewpoints of the Sur and Rico arms of Lake Argentino, eventually entering the Los Glaciares National Park. Here, we'll explore overhangs adorned with cave paintings and discover the heritage of the area's first inhabitants, the Tehuelches.
Next, we embark on a hike to the Mirador del Lago Roca, enveloped by the lush Andean forest. Our journey continues to the Nibepo Aike Ranch, where we gain insight into the lifestyle here. We will then savor a lunch featuring Patagonian lamb with salad, accompanied by drinks and dessert.
