Our adventure kicks off with a pick-up from your downtown El Calafate hotel in a 4x4 vehicle. The journey will take you along the scenic slopes of the Cañadon del Arroyo Calafate, offering you a chance to observe local wildlife such as guanacos, foxes, hares, and condors, among other fascinating species.

Our ascent continues for about 20 minutes until we reach our first destination. We arrive at the First Balcony, a site originating from the Cenozoic Era, around 65 million years ago. Here, you can explore fossils, sediments, and vegetation that reveal the story of an ancient sea that once covered this area.
We will disembark from the vehicles briefly to access the Upper Balconies, perched 1100 meters above sea level . This vantage point provides breathtaking views of the Andes Mountains, the awe-inspiring Patagonian Continental Ice, and the sprawling arms of Lake Argentino. On clear days, you can even spot the majestic Fitz Roy and Torre hills in Chaltén. Beyond the stunning vistas, the unique location of the Balconies above the condor nests allows you to witness the majestic flight of the Andean Condor.
