Descripción del Tour:
In the morning, your guide will pick you up at 07:30 from your hotel in El Calafate to head to Puerto La Soledad (Tranquila Bay, Punta Bandera area).
Upon arrival after an hour's bus journey, we will board a modern catamaran at 09:00.
The journey begins as we navigate northwest, passing through Punta Avellaneda and Boca del Diablo, the lake's narrowest point at approximately 800 meters. After two hours on the water, the sight of varied icebergs signals the proximity of the Uppsala Glacier. We will pause in front of the iceberg barrier that temporarily blocks entry to the Uppsala Channel. If weather conditions allow, we will view the Uppsala Glacier from afar.
We will continue our navigation through Argentine Lake, heading south into the Spegazzini Channel to reach the glacier of the same name. This journey offers a remarkable close-up of the glacier, with towering walls between 80 and 135 meters above the lake, making it the tallest in the National Park.
The vessel features four exterior decks, offering panoramic views from every angle.
After viewing the glacier, gourmet food will be served on board as we take in the breathtaking scenery.
In the afternoon, the ship will dock at an exceptionally tranquil bay within the Spegazzini Channel, where the engines will be turned off for passengers to disembark and enjoy a short, low-intensity trek, led by our team of guides. We will walk for an hour through the Patagonian forest, on land once used for livestock farming. The trail leads to stunning panoramic viewpoints where we can capture photographs of the Spegazzini Glacier from a different angle.
In the final leg, we will sail towards the Perito Moreno Glacier, offering an exclusive view of the north face of this ever-growing icy giant.
We then begin our return journey, arriving at the La Soledad Private Port by 5:00 p.m., where transportation will take you back to your hotel in El Calafate.
For an even more comprehensive experience, we offer the option to disembark at Puerto Moreno around 3:30 p.m. to enjoy 2 hours of trekking on the Footbridges before returning to the hotels in El Calafate.
