Descripción del Tour:

This tour kicks off with a pick-up from the hotels in the city starting at 09:00 hs. Our journey heads north to explore the Jesuit Estancias of Colonia Caroya, Jesús María, and Santa Catalina. These sites are renowned for being designated as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, forming a part of the historic Old Royal Road to Upper Peru.
Colonia Caroya is a destination that blends regional flavors, wineries, and religious circuits, making it perfect for enjoying nature, savoring local cuisine, and relaxing. Our visit will focus on the historical and religious significance of this area.
The first stop is the Tourist Interpretation and Jesuit Legacy Center in Colonia Caroya, where we will spend about 15-20 minutes to gain insight into the territorial and historical evolution of the Society of Jesus in this region.
Next, we head to the Estancia de Colonia Caroya, the first rural establishment founded by the Society of Jesus in 1616. We will spend approximately an hour there, visiting the museum whose exhibits explain the Jesuit Legacy, its operations as the "First White Weapons Factory" and the significant Italian influence.
Following our time at the museum, we proceed to Jesús María, a land rich in heritage, culture, and history, recognized as one of the province's most important cities.
During our scenic tour, we'll pass by the field where the Argentine Dressage and Folklore Festival occurs each January. We then arrive at the Jesuit Jesús María Estancia, dating back to 1618. Over the course of approximately an hour and a half, we will explore the museum and its rooms showcasing sacred Cusco art, archeology, ceramics, and more.
Around noon, in either Jesús María or Colonia Caroya, we will have free time to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (lunch not included).
Post lunch and relaxation, our journey continues to Santa Catalina, a notable area recognized for its remarkable baroque-style churches in the province.
In this town, we visit the Santa Catalina Jesuit Estate, known as the largest architectural complex of the Society outside Córdoba city, originating in 1622. We will take a guided tour lasting about an hour to explore the park, church, and courtyards with a local guide.
Finally, after a 10-hour journey through time, we will return to the city and drop you off at your downtown hotel.
