The entire journey spans 220 km and takes about 9 hours. We start our adventure in the morning with a visit to one of Catamarca's most iconic landmarks: La Cuesta del Portezuelo.
This road stretches nearly 20 km and features over 300 curves. These breathtaking vistas inspired the verses of Landscapes of Catamarca, and you can savor these unparalleled views along the way.
After our descent, we proceed to Valle Viejo, a region steeped in history and culture. Here, you can admire colonial architecture and delve into local traditions. Our journey continues to Fray Mamerto Esquiú, a site dedicated to the friar of the same name, celebrated for his religious and social contributions.
The next stop is the Las Pirquitas Dam, a reservoir nestled in nature, ideal for photography and enjoying serene moments. We then head to La Puerta, a charming town that offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
